Imillaskate
skateboard design
This skateboard design accompanies my final year zine project about the Bolivian female skate group, Imillaskate. It was important to me to create a fun skateboard design the encapsulates girlhood and skating together. For this I digitally illustrated the skateboard and hand wrapped the vinyl myself.
I decided to expand this brief further and mock-up some mini skateboard 'tech deck' toys. This would expand the project to another target audience group and appeal to a younger audience, broadening the goal of the project - promoting and encouraging women's skateboarding.
